A services organization in Connecticut is looking to add a new BI / ETL Developer to their growing team in Stamford. In this role, the BI / ETL Developer will be responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information. Responsibilities: The BI / ETL Developer will: Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Provide advice and education in the usage and interpretation of business data relevant to the business unit Communicate data nuances and insights to all levels of the company in a clear and concise manner Instill best practices and assists users at all levels within the company on how to leverage BI capabilities for accurate reporting and analysis Leverage knowledge of Business Intelligence capabilities and familiarity with business trends in identifying patterns, opportunities and threats Work closely with business partners in gathering detailed business requirements, establishing business definitions, translating to technical requirements for development team and gaining approval Interact with senior management or executive level customers and provides support as needed Create report mock ups based on requirements and coordinates with technical team in finalizing design and receiving sign off Support all scheduled and non-recurring information needs of the business users Understand data elements in the warehouse at a very detailed grain to support any form of user needs from research to adhoc querying to managing large information projects Query large datasets and tables comfortably to provide information requested by business users Present data in a fashion that is easy to understand with proper documentation for successful user adoption Manage detailed plans on small to medium sized projects to ensure successful completion Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant Technical and/or Business work experience Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge and intuition ideally utilized in A/B or multivariate testing (or related analytics) Advanced SQL skills Project management skills Expertise with BI Data Modeling concepts such as Star/Snowflake Schema, Dimensions and Facts Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Experience with MicroStrategy, Terradata Experience with data visualization standards and techniques to visually summarize data and insights Experience with Cable TV, Internet, and/or Phone products & services or other related industry experience
