Als Design & Proposal Engineer vertaal je klantvereisten naar het ontwerp van een vaartuig in nauwe samenwerking met onze Sales. Je bereidt scheepsontwerpen en specificaties voor, berekent kosten en bepaalt de levertijd door nauwe samenwerking met andere afdelingen binnen het bedrijf - Research, Engineering, Production en Sales. Bovendien is jouw taak het ontwikkelen van nieuwe vaartuigen en het optimaliseren van ons huidige productportfolio. Tot jouw belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden behoren o.a.: Het bieden van technische ondersteuning aan Sales tijdens het contracteringsproces, bijvoorbeeld door presentaties te geven of berekeningen te verstrekken Het optimaliseren van (standaard) ontwerpen om de prijs te verlagen en de kwaliteit, betrouwbaarheid en functionaliteit van de vaartuigen te verbeteren Het bijhouden van de algehele voortgang in de pre-sales fase Productontwikkeling en optimalisatie, inclusief marktonderzoek en conceptontwerp Het opzetten van een projectplanning (mijlpalen), het berekenen van aanvullend werk en kostenbesparingen, het voorbereiden van een lijst met afwijkingen en andere klantspecifieke gegevens Het voorbereiden van scheepsontwerpen, specificaties, kostencalculaties en bouwstrategieën voor verkoopkansen Voor deze functie zijn wij op zoek naar iemand met het volgende profiel: Bij voorkeur 2 tot 5 jaar relevante ervaring in scheepsontwerp; Het is voor jou een uitdaging om tegelijkertijd aan verschillende projecten te werken; Je hebt uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en kunt jezelf goed uitdrukken in zakelijke gesprekken.
