Summary:

As a senior software development engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing new and updated software programs and ensure all projects are on time and to LGESMI and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutionsDevelop high-level design documents and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear codePrepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmingUpdate job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizationsAccomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as neededLead troubleshooting of software issues for both development and production software releases, including troubleshooting software running on the target hardware, battery packs, and vehicles. Understand Circuit SchematicsWork closely with HW developers and define interfacesTranslate customer requirements into detailed software requirements and design as needed.Ensure proper configuration and revision management of work productsSupport Software Validation Team in designing appropriate requirements validationQualifications :

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experienceExperience :

7 to 10+ years of experience years of experience in embedded software development with increasing responsibility to technically lead projects and teamsExperience with preparing test cases for application and performing integration and unit testing using MATLAB, LDRA, and Vector CANAlyzerExperience with ASPICE and ISO26262Skills :

Understanding of Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)Application of ISO26262 for software development; ASPICE best practices for software development; and MATLAB/Simulink.Real-time embedded software development, experience in developing embedded software and debugging usingAbility to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global sitesBenefits Overview
