The Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) is dedicated to protecting and conserving the waters and surrounding watershed of Maryland's coastal bays to maintain their ecological health and sustainable use for current and future generations. MCBP is a non?profit partnership involving local towns such as Ocean City and Berlin, as well as organizations including the National Park Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Maryland state agencies. Collaborating with local farmers, business owners, scientists, and fishermen, MCBP operates as a consensus?based entity. As one of only 28 National Estuary Programs in the United States, the organization focuses on preserving and enhancing the natural resources in the bays near Ocean City, Ocean Pines, Berlin, and Assateague. Role Description This is a full?time, on?site role located in Ocean City, MD, for a Program Coordinator. Key Responsibilities Lead preparation and timely submission of all EPA?related reporting materials. Research, write, and manage grant applications and related documentation. Track grant compliance, deadlines, deliverables, and budgets. Work collaboratively with MCBP staff, partner agencies, and community organizations. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups including government agencies, nonprofits, and the public. Qualifications Proficiency in Program Management and Program Development, including planning and executing initiatives and partnerships. Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and maintain positive relationships. Expertise in Project Management, including overseeing deadlines, budgets, and deliverables. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently manage responsibilities. Previous experience in environmental conservation or a related field is a plus. Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
