Overview Our growing company is seeking to hire a 2nd shift Laser Operator at our Wayland Michigan location. This position has a unique schedule: One week will work 3 days p/week, the next week will work 4 days p/week - that gives you a 3-day weekend every other week. The scheduled hours are 6pm to 6am. Responsibilities A rolelike this comes with some important responsibilities which include: Use hard gages and calipers to confirm part quality Utilize forklift and crane to load material into machine Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure premium part quality Perform daily preventative maintenance and typically set up multiple jobs per day Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications Qualifications Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions Work with little direction (other than standard procedures) Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy Knowledge of tubular steel manufacturing and fabrication processes is a PLUS #J-18808-Ljbffr
