Responsibilities

• Places clean wet linen into dryers and follows standardized drying procedures.
• Removes, inspects and sorts items from dryers.
• Folds linen items as required.
• Operates flat-iron for linen items that require pressing.
• Places linen goods onto carts to be distributed/delivered to various locations.
• Cleans linen traps, disinfects linen shelves and performs related duties to keep the area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Attends all required departmental in-services and training, in order to support quality initiatives.
• Attends all required departmental in-services or training as required, in order to contribute to quality initiatives.
• Reports damaged equipment and/or items in need of repair, requests reordering of chemical to department director to ensure appropriate materials are available.

Required Education and Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); 2 years EVS experience in lieu of high school diploma or GED- NOT NEEDED
