Inventory Control Supervisor WIRTGEN AMERICA, a member of the WIRTGEN GROUP and a John Deere Company, specializes in the sales and service of road construction equipment and mining machinery, incorporating the classic product brands: WIRTGEN, VGELE, HAMM, and KLEEMANN. Job Overview The purpose of the Inventory Control position is to ensure ongoing attention is given to all facets of inventory, including overseeing cycle counts, arranging the organization of parts in bins, pallets, and crates, reviewing slow and non?moving inventory, and making reductions through several channels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises two employees conducting year?round cycle counts; establishes cadence with warehouse and purchasing on completion dates of counts. Conducts statistical analysis (Deere parts audit quarterly) between Accounting and Warehouse. Ensures parts in bins, crates and pallets are stocked neatly and organized with part numbers clearly displayed. Moves parts on old pallets and in old crates/boxes onto new ones and discards former holding spots. Works with Purchasing, Factories, and Product Management to establish no?move and slow?move factory returns. Reaches out to third?party suppliers (Vintage, Lipper) for parts determined non?returnable by factories but still relevant in the market, and for transfer of parts to their distribution networks. Arranges scrap lists of parts non?returnable to Germany or third?party suppliers. Collaborates with warehouse for picking, packing and movement of parts from inventory. Education, Experience & Skills High?school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience with SAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office and Excel. Physical Demands The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, use hand and finger dexterity to handle or feel items, reach with hand and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds.
