Description

A technology innovator, custom manufacturer, and electrical systems troubleshooter for heavy industry, FLANDERS designs, engineers, produces, and services industrial power systems and control systems. We specialize in electric rotating machinery for high-demand applications across mining, mills, and heavy industry. We are excited to hire a Senior Marketing Specialist to plan and execute trade show events and coordinate social media posts and campaigns for FLANDERS. The Senior Marketing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date event master calendar.

Qualified candidates will have at least three years of relevant experience and a proven track record of success. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a significant contribution to building a highly effective and impactful marketing team. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring, learning, and evolving your events programs.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ROLES
  • Plan and execute events and special activities.
  • Create and schedule daily social media posts
  • Assist with content generation and creation for social, blogs, presentations and sales collateral
  • Work with the Global Marketing Leader to co-develop and manage the strategy and execution of events and social media calendar in alignment with the overall content strategy
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the organization's social media content strategy to drive engagement across channels, including Facebook, Twitter (X), LinkedIn etc.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on social media analytics, then use that information to evaluate effectiveness and drive improved strategy and social messaging
  • Create landing pages for marketing campaigns and discriminate leads
  • May need to step in and work on some marketing related projects as time allows.
Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience managing events or special activities
  • A proven track record of driving creative content and growing audiences
  • Creative?mindset and the ability to generate?innovative?content ideas suitable for various social media platforms
  • Flexible and collaborative with an ability to work well across different teams and departments
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team across the larger enterprise, sharing information and insights, collaborating to solve problems, and connecting?events and social media to our broader mission
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and methods for measuring success through data
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, and demonstrated experience in managing an organization's LinkedIn and Twitter accounts
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Organized and flexible, with a team-player mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, events planning, project management or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
  • Comfortable with basic graphic design such as Canva or Illustrator are a plus
  • Self-starter, comfortable with working autonomously, and able to hold yourself to self-appointed deliverables
  • Able to manage multiple projects with varied timelines, sometimes on tight deadline
