Job Description:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the ESO Mission Support's Data Services Team. In this role, you will design and implement processes to generate and display dataflow metrics using tools like Elastic Search, Kibana, or Splunk. You will collaborate with domain experts, analysts, and developers to understand and address analytic needs, ensuring alignment with ESO mission objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting and building user awareness of advanced analytic methods, assisting with metric-related actions, and supporting the transition of solutions into production environments.

The Level 2 Systems Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Provide System Engineering support to Enabled Source Operations (ESO) to revitalize a metric system that incorporates data from several agency production systems as well as ESO controlled NIFIs. The metric system will bring all this information together into a one stop shop tool for engineers, analysts and managers to use on a daily basis and will require different views for the different use cases/personnel. The task will require knowledge of:
  • Elastic Search / Kibana / SPLUNK (ELK or SPLUNK, doesn't have to be both)
  • Confluence
  • Linux
  • Need to know what the following systems do and how to perform API pulls:
    • REGISTRY
    • COSMIC
    • GRANDALCHEMY
    • DMR
    • PLATINUMSTAR
    • AFE, UTT, TKB, EPIC
    • PROPERORDER
    • SILENTVIEW
    • QUEENSTEA
    • MAGIC8BALL
    • HAVEN

Qualifications:

  • Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
