Job Summary

The ability to work independently and multi-task managing customer inquiries by prioritizing and scheduling daily activities – field visits and administrative duties. Form strategic relationships with customers in the corporate business environment and local suppliers and share relevant competitive market information. Strong communication skills and product knowledge are required to achieve and exceed revenue and profit targets within a solutions environment of office stationery and supplies, furniture and equipment.

Role of job holder:

Responsible for revenue generation with retention and development of existing customers and generation of new business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

SALES:

Exceed agreed targets and growth expectations by managing current and prospective customers through

effective selling

of the company’s products.

Accurately

plan and provide monthly sales revenue forecasting

and position the Company to supply as needed.

Increase customer awareness of the Company’s wide range of products through cross-selling and up-selling

demonstrating detailed product knowledge .

Prepare and submit competitive bids in response to Requests for Quotations, Invitations to Tender and renewal of business contracts.

Influence a sales culture of teamwork and open communication within the Sales Unit.

Motivate and develop peers through

teamwork

with the aim of department growth and development.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:

Proactively engage in the building of sustainable

customer relationships.

Interface with other business units/departments

to provide seamless support to customers, troubleshooting routine problems to seek a resolution, seeking out creative avenues to

exceed customers’ expectations .

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION:

Contribute to the achievement and exceeding of

new business

targets by actively seeking out new business opportunities through

referrals

from existing customers.

Understand the marketplace exploring

growth opportunities

and appropriately actioning to successfully

establish

new business

to increase market share and profitability.

Protect the company’s leading position by

acquiring knowledge of competitors

and their competing product, brands and prices, continually providing feedback to fellow sales staff and management for information and response.

INFORMATION & RECORD KEEPING AND REPORTING:

Record important details of all interactions with customers including changes and/or additions to

customer information

for sharing with the CSR team on a daily basis for their knowledge and for updating customer records/files accordingly.

Read all correspondence to and from customers in written or electronic format to be updated of its contents, safeguarding customer information against unauthorized disclosure.

Provide

reporting and other information

as requested by management.

ADHERENCE TO PROCEDURES AND PROCESSES

:

Uphold the company’s

policies and procedures

and comply with established best practices for delivering quality customer service on a consistent basis.

Work within the company’s established credit guidelines, customer approved credit limits and payment terms to

prevent unnecessary losses .

Job Requirements:

Five (5) CXC passes including mandatory subjects English Language and Mathematics.

Experience in Sales, Marketing, Project Management and / or Customer Service will be an asset.

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a sales environment, preferably in office stationery and supplies, office furniture.

Advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Express and other software packages as necessary (CRM, Order Management, etc.).

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and a good working vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Analytical, detail oriented with sound decision making, problem solving, communication and relationship management.

An aptitude for selling - solution selling includes uncovering customer needs to provide the best solution.

Confident and self-motivated - strong and consistent track-record in meeting targets.

Capability to sell at the corporate level and to propose and secure large business opportunities.

Strong written and presentation skills with a deliverable tone, audible clarity, pronunciation and grammar.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task.

Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Change oriented. Willingness to learn and apply new sales and customer service techniques.

Ability to observe and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

SPECIAL NOTE : The Sales Executive will have responsibilities of an in-house nature during on-boarding and probation followed by the incorporation of additional duties outside of sales responsibilities. Training will be initially provided. Sales Executives will be expected to attend all relevant in-house or external training to increase and/or reinforce knowledge and skills. Subsequently, the Sales Executive will be jointly responsible for increasing and maintaining his/her own knowledge of existing and new products and sales and customer service skills.

Basic monthly gross salary - $2,800.00 Mileage Allowance - $1,300.00 Cell Phone Allowance - $175.00 Commission on monthly Collected Gross Profit - 10% of monthly Gross Profit (paid retroactively the following month)
