Description

The District Fitness Manager at Fitness Connection is a critical leader who changes members' lives through the development, implementation, and growth of fitness-related services in our clubs. Expectations of this role include identifying and reporting on fitness Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), standardizing fitness-related programs and processes including sales, programming, and education, and educating club management and teammates to successfully provide those programs and services. Success in the role will require attainment of revenue goals for personal training programs and sessions serviced.
Your Day to Day
Business Partner -Working closely with the District Manager, Club Management, and the Fitness Connection Executive Leadership Team to identify, implement and report on fitness KPIs
- Supports each club in achieving monthly revenue goals, profit targets, and client satisfaction for personal training services
- Evaluates current by-club performance related to fitness services and achievement of goals, identifies opportunities to improve success, and develops solutions to ensure each club consistently meets or exceeds targets
- Supports club management to consistently recruit, select, onboard, develop, and retain Certified Personal Trainers that provide high-quality service to members Provides District Manager, club management and organizational leaders regular access to and coaching on key metrics and financial results
- Develops and implements industry-leading fitness services, including personal training programs Identifies opportunities for ongoing improvement to fitness services including program structure, pricing, promotions, and labor management.
- Partners with National Personal Training Manager to develop solutions to address each opportunity Develops and launches special programs, events, and promotions in conjunction with Fitness Connection leadership.
- Ensures communication with club management and teammates is transparent and effective
- Uses data, including financial reports, member feedback, and observations from regular club visits to identify opportunities to improve sales for fitness services
- Coaches club management team to implement sales strategies that promote the Fitness Connection purpose and help clubs consistently achieve personal training revenue targets
- Implements standardized sales process that is aligned with marketing messages and company EPIC Core Values
- Identifies initial and ongoing training requirements for Certified Personal Trainers who provide fitness services, including personal training sessions
- Provides subject matter expertise in the development of personal training certification programs for Certified Personal Trainers Partners with District Manager and National Personal Training Manager about training, leadership, onboarding, and expectations for Certified Personal Trainers
- Serves as a partner and resource for District Manager, National Personal Training Manager and club leadership regarding all aspects of personal training
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is required; relevant alternative experience may be considered Maintains current approved Personal Training certification (required)
- Maintains current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (required)
- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or others frequent in the local community) preferred
- Possess well-developed understanding and use of management skills such as recruitment, selection, coaching, training and development
- Ability to quickly and effectively address conflicts among staff and resolve personnel matters
- Have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic Knowledge of safe exercise techniques, basic physiology, body mechanics, and group exercise principles
- Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment with a positive attitude
- Able to take direction and adhere to company policies
- Attend, participate, and lead mandatory trainings and meetings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Read, analyze, and interpret common business-related documents such as a membership agreement
- Ability to effectively present information to Team Support Center, club leaders and internal partners as needed
- Position duties require daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting and reaching. Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement
- Extended daily and weekly work hours may be required, including weekends. Flexible work hours are required on all shifts with little or no prior notification provided Must have the ability to work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level
- Ability to travel between clubs regularly and sometimes with little notice as well as occasional regional or national trips
