Your Everyday Prepares instrument trays and supplies for steam and sterilization using appropriate techniques for loading, operating, and unloading. Processes instruments and supplies from all areas of nursing service and off-site clinics through cleaning, collecting, packaging, sterilizing and storing properly. Monitors the condition of instruments, equipment and reports any needs for repair. Assists operating room personnel by offering information as needed regarding equipment and instrument sets. Assesses/reassesses appropriate equipment and instruments needs for all departments. Ensures all supplies are available for the surgeon, follows-through on replacement/repair of instruments or unfunctional equipment. Follows all regulatory standards throughout decontamination and sterilization processes.
