**Position Summary**

As the Barista, you will be responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention toward each resident, guest, and team member providing a superb customer service experience. **Shifts Available**

* Mon-Fri 8am-2pm are the approximate hours. Weekend hours can be available in summer, to be determined.

* Additional hours available as Server or Cook if desired.

**Job Type**

* Server / Cook / Barista

**Responsibilities**

* Ensures each customer is educated on beverages and food items being offered and ensures each order is made as requested.

* Champions hospitality to all residents, guests, and visitors with excellence in customer service.

* Works with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to New Perspective standards at all times.

* Appropriately accounts for all financial transactions through resident billing and receipts.

* Operates and maintains assigned equipment. (Including Point of Sale System: POS)

* Communicates and interacts with residents, families and team members in a kind, respectful and effective way.

* Ensures that an attractive home environment exists at all times at the community with a milieu that fosters engagement, socialization.

**Qualifications**

* A High School diploma / GED with solid accounting skills and experience in the hospitality field.

* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the English language.

* Strong computer skills and ability to use a variety of electronic devices.

* Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents and family members and the problem-solving skill sets to support them.

* Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting.
