Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Duties & Responsibilities: Psychiatric Registered Nurse sought for 8 week assignment, with the potential to extend. Schedule would be 3x12 nights, with weekends and holidays as assigned. Hospital is an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for 18+ ages. Clinicians must be able to do CIWA/COWS, UAs, and be able to set/hold firm empathic boundaries. There are 50 beds in the facility, 20 for female and 30 for male. The nurse to patient ratio is 1 nurse on night shift. For the 7p-11p of the shift there are 2-3 techs on shift and from 11p-7a there is 1 tech on shift. Patients are voluntary and there are no restraints or on-site security. Admin and Doctors are on call at all times. Visiting hours are Sundays 1p-4p and orientation is 2-3 days of 12 hour shifts training until comfortable.

Minimum Requirements:
  • IA or Compact RN license
  • 1+ years Psych/BH experience
  • BLS
  • CPI
  • Must be able to do CIWA/COWS, UAs, and be able to set/hold firm empathic boundaries
