During our busiest season, estimated to be from late-January through April 15th, tax season interns assist with the increased tax work for clients. Duties and responsibilities of a tax season intern will include but not be limited to the following tasks:
  • Scans tax documents into AutoFlow
  • Reviews and validates scanned documents
  • Prepares basic tax returns
  • Imports data from client's files to our workpaper files.
  • Learns to use accounting and tax software
  • Develop an understanding of internal CPA practices.
  • Develop an understanding of teamwork within a work environment
Position Requirements
  • Accounting majors who intend to begin their careers in public accounting.
  • Students in their junior or senior years, with at least one section of Intermediate accounting already successfully passed.
  • GPA's of 3.0 and higher.
  • Availability of 15-20 hours per week during spring semester is preferred
  • Interns should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines, multi-task, and possess critical thinking skills.
  • Interns should be aspiring to obtain CPA certification
  • Interns should have a willingness and desire to learn more about public accounting.
  • Attributes that demonstrate initiative, career-oriented intensity, above average Excel/IT skills, and professionalism will be significant factors in our selection of candidates.
