The Opportunity: We are seeking a DevSecOps Specialist who is not only proficient in Python and has a deep understanding of Machine Learning but also possesses the unique capability to seamlessly blend development, security, and operational processes. The chosen individual will be instrumental in embedding security protocols throughout our client's software development lifecycle, enhancing product security, and utilizing machine learning technologies to advance our offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Forge partnerships with software development teams to weave security into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Spearhead the adoption and ongoing management of security tools tailored for code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and automated security checks.
  • Craft and implement security automation tests to safeguard application and service integrity.
  • Diagnose and mitigate security flaws, identify performance and operational hitches, and refine the development pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps group to fine-tune our cloud infrastructure, prioritizing security and scalability.
  • Execute security evaluations and risk analyses, recommend mitigative actions, and lead the charge in implementing those strategies.
  • Apply machine learning methodologies to boost capabilities in threat identification, anomaly detection, and anti-fraud measures.
  • Engineer and apply machine learning models to elevate process precision and efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of security trends, machine learning advancements, and best practices within the industry.
  • Provide secure development guidance and technical insights to interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in managing incident response, aiming for comprehensive root cause analysis and future prevention.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in DevSecOps practices with a track record of integrating security within CI/CD frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in Python for scripting, automation, and development.
  • A solid grasp of security fundamentals, potential vulnerabilities, and defense mechanisms, especially in web and cloud contexts.
  • Proficiency in managing security solutions, including SAST, DAST, and container security tools.
  • Experience with Git, Terraform, and similar version control and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of machine learning with practical experience in frameworks like TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud applications.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and securing containerized applications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and adeptness in navigating complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of effective teamwork.
  • Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) and/or machine learning certifications are a plus.

Desired Additional Skills:
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Go, Java, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and technologies (SSL/TLS, VPN).
  • Experience with SIEM tools, log analysis, data privacy, and encryption methodologies.
