The MDS Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Medicare reporting information to ensure optimum payment according to the Omnibus Reconciliation Act 1987 (OBRA) and Perspective Payment System (PPS) regulations and federal guidelines.

Manages a work area in the Southington Care Center environment to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective service is delivered by the department in support of the organization's strategic plan and the function's goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Current RN License in the state of Connecticut
  • Minimum 3 years experience MDS experience
  • Demonstrated and applied knowledge of Omnibus Reconciliation Act (OBRA) and Perspective Payment Systems (PPS) regulations.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Excellent assessment and communication skills.
