Regional Account Manager - Industrial Automation - Team Sales Join SICK Sensor Intelligence as a Regional Account Manager for Industrial Automation and work remotely from the Detroit MI area. Mission of the Role This position is a remote-based sales role covering a regional sales territory and involves strategic, complex sales of products, services, systems, and solutions. The Regional Account Manager supports and grows profitable SICK sales and market share within SICKs defined strategic industries in the region, managing a named set of accounts and driving market share within these accounts. Key Responsibilities Be the trusted advisor and main point of contact to customers, introducing and selling SICK solutions and services to existing and new prospects. Collaborate with the Team Selling Unit locally and nationally to meet individual and team goals. Develop and execute business development and standard solution opportunities within the defined customer list. Maintain the companys CRM system accurately for all customer and sales process data. Build direct customer relationships using deep understanding of customers business needs, production applications, and technical language. Use consultative sales techniques and solutions to improve customer production quality control and efficiency. Provide outstanding customer experience and manage communications with named accounts. Identify and qualify opportunities, threats, and account potential while understanding competition. Generate new leads and product applications through continuous research. Introduce new products, solutions, systems, and lifetime services with urgency and entrepreneurialism. Engage regional specialists, product managers, and colleagues to maximize share of wallet. Develop strategic account plans for target customers and opportunities. Pursue sales excellence, complete annual objectives and performance reviews, and take advantage of training opportunities. Stay informed on market and competitive activity, recommending actions when needed. Participate in trade shows and deliver marketing/sales presentations to technical societies. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Experience: Prior sales experience selling complex, high-technology industrial automation solutions and sensor products, including products, systems, and services. Preference for prior technical industry experience outside of sales. Education: Bachelors degree in a technical field with an orientation toward technical sales. Position-specific Qualifications: High degree of direct sales skills and implementation of account sales plans through direct and indirect channels. Consistently meet sales plans and provide leadership in execution of corporate sales strategies. Fundamental leadership in sales and opportunity assessment. Utilize team selling unit locally to solve problems and create strategic plans. Flexible, resilient, and open to change. Self?starter with strong motivation and desire for continuous learning and improvement. Outstanding attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Collaborative across multiple functions. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Computer/Technological: Professional competence in Microsoft Office tools. Experience with CRM systems or similar tools. Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required. Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends if required. General Working Conditions: Able to work in an office environment; flexible arrangements allowed. Travel: Ability to travel regionally up to four days a week. Physical Demands: Standard office environment; monitor for >4 hours a day. Compensation Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $83,640 - $126,500 Bonus Eligibility: Variable sales commissions based on company and individual performance.
