See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: e/CSVMnKCySsY * _PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_* Assist__ in the development and execution of corporate financing strategies which reduce borrowing costs, and efficiently manage cash flows, working capital, and payment operations. * _SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP_* Supervises and leads the Treasury Control Specialist, Cash Management Specialist, Cash & Credit Coordinator, and Corporate Credit Manager. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* Optimizes and manages the daily cash functions for GROWMARK and affiliates. Ensures daily funding of all bank accounts. Projects and monitors the asset/liability requirements of each company and develop plans for their lending and funding activities. Makes daily borrowing or investment decisions to minimize the cost of borrowing. Assists in evaluating and arranging financing sources to meet corporate financial needs and objectives. Supports the Treasurer to develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions through professional image, activities, and communication. Provides leadership to the Corporate Credit Department. Approves Credit Lines and makes recommendations to the Treasurer and CFO on large credit exposures. Must successfully collaborate with Product Divisions on Credit Decisions. Must be able to navigate and diffuse difficult scenarios and situations while holding firm to proper financial exposure. Responsible for stress testing of company borrowing capacity and making recommendations based on stress test interpretation. Monitors interest rate trends and outlook and utilizes interest rate risk management products to hedge costs of borrowing. Develops and implements procedures for forecasting foreign currency exposures and creates a strategic planning process to monitor and manage foreign currency exposure. Utilizes foreign currency risk management products to minimize exposure. Identifies and assess risk mitigation tools for managing commodity and price risk, interest rates, foreign currency, and equity strategies on an enterprise basis. Assists subsidiaries with borrowing need forecasts, management of working capital, and execution of third-party financing. Assists in the study and review of methods of mobilizing cash collections and the disbursement of funds for both U.S. and foreign operations. Monitors cash management products and banking industry developments and determines impact on GROWMARK and subsidiaries. Reviews the account analysis provided monthly by each major bank to monitor costs. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team. Perform other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* Normally requires a college degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent, and at least 10 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide treasury leadership to the GROWMARK System. Understanding and experience with accounting/finance-related areas including forecasting, cash management, interest rate exposure, risk management, currency exposure; financial statements, markets, and decision making; internal controls, policies and procedures, and compliance. Prefer knowledge of the GROWMARK System, an MBA or other advance business degree, and a CPA, CCM, CTM, CTP or other professional business designation. Proven supervisory and leadership skills including staffing, coaching, performance evaluation, etc. and the ability to achieve results through others. Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills. Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proven team-building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proven computer skills including complex spreadsheets and database management. Demonstrated GROWMARK Essential Abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.
