Why This Job is Important.

The Sr. Associate - Product Safety Specialist is a specialized position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our wet wipe products. This position provides ongoing product safety support across Nice-Pak's portfolio of wet wipes, including baby wipes, facial wipes, moist toilet wipes, OTC antibacterial hand wipes, cleaning wipes, and disinfecting wipes. You will review product information to ensure compliance with global regulations, conduct safety risk assessments, and develop product safety reports.

Our Product Safety Sr. Associate ensures that all products meet stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements, supporting the company's goal of providing safe and effective products to our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market while maintaining the safety and compliance of our existing product portfolio.

What You Can Expect. As a Sr. Associate - Product Safety Specialist, you will:

  • Provide guidance on the safety requirements of raw materials and final formulas used in our products.
  • Ensure compliance with US, Canadian, EU, and Asian regulatory requirements.
  • Support global product registrations and regulatory approvals.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding product safety.
  • Conduct toxicological risk assessments and develop Cosmetic Product Safety Reports.
  • Coordinate with R&D and suppliers to maintain accurate Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Consult with internal and external experts to define product safety requirements for specific initiatives.
The Product Safety Sr. Associate reports to the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety and supervises a team of Product Safety professionals.

  • MS degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Public Health, or a related science.
  • Eligible for DABT/ABT certification.
  • Associate or full membership in the Society of Toxicology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant safety work experience is required, preferably in cosmetics, consumer cleaning products, biocides, or OTC drugs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks with strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Achievement: The ability to deliver technical work on time, without issue, and in a quality manner.
  • Ownership: The ability to demonstrate strong ownership of assigned projects and project work - ability to work independently.
  • Partnership Skills: Willingness and the ability to work well cross-functionally, communicate effectively and work as part of a team to achieve objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial Skills: The ability to demonstrate creativity in the role, explore new and more efficient ways of working, and contribute new product ideas.

  • Competitive pay commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities. The pay range for this position is $89k- $133k with a midpoint of $111k.
