JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S
Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II
JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
A Field Engineer III performs as a lead on more complex field engineering assignments and performs a variety of engineering assignments involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic/mechanical equipment and systems
Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems
Performs as network lead on network field engineering assignments
Requires experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies
Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructure
Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards
Experience with network layers 2/2 and TDM networking equipment
Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects
Ability to manage, troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure
Perform other job-related duties, as required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with CISCO network equipment
Experience with CIENA Optical Transport Network equipment
REQUIERMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position
In addition, a Field Engineer III must possess the following qualifications:
Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable senior technical contributor-level performance on complex projects or programs
Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Planning/organizational skills
Must have a valid, state-issued driver's license SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $83,200.00 to $114,400.00 annually
Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards
Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required
Travel to remote company work locations may be required
