We are searching for a talented Simulation Framework Architecture Engineer for a position supporting the United States Strategic Command in Dahlgren Virginia. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter that can leverage their programming skills to assist on a variety of modeling and simulation projects at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center. We are looking for someone who is task flexible and able to juggle multiple priorities in a multi-domain environment.

The successful candidate will support the Department of Defense in the development and integration of C++ models and tooling for the AFSIM framework. We also assist in developing scenarios and models to test new concepts in these simulation environments.

Radiance Technologies' Modeling, Analytics, & Simulation Sciences Operation is heavily focused on support to the Intelligence Community, Acquisition Community, and greater DoD through specialized development of simulation software, tools and infrastructure. We have a unique blend of analysis and modeling capabilities with an understanding of S&TI missions which enables us to provide the Government with innovative solutions to complex software requirements. We are industry leaders in the Air Force's AFSIM modeling and simulation environment and the Intelligence Community's ITASE/TMAP initiatives. This opportunity will give the candidate exposure to a wide array of new technologies to include the latest in DoD modeling, simulation, software architecture, and user interface design. Our dynamic software development teams work collaboratively and encourage creativity and innovation in software design, integration, and development. Most software is developed in an Agile environment with continuous integration and testing.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a CS or Computer Engineering related discipline
  • Active TS/SCI
  • Three or more years of software development experience with at least one or more of the following: C, C++ (preferably 11 or higher), Python
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with the AFSIM M&S (Modeling and Simulation) Framework
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) systems, and supporting tooling
  • Experience with C2 (Command & Control), Networking, and Communications systems
  • Ability to communicate technical details of work at multiple fidelity levels
  • Experience developing or integrating physics-based models in simulation frameworks
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, self-direct, and take ownership for segments of a project
  • Active security clearance
