Professional Services Application Engineer - CLEAR Path Cambridge, MA (Hybrid) About this position: Context Labs is seeking a Professional Services Application Engineer to provide technical expertise supporting the deployment of our CLEAR Path platform, built on our Immutably Data Fabric technology. This individual will provide subject matter expertise across multiple types of emerging greenhouse gas emissions avoidance or abatement projects (e.g., CCUS, hydrogen, forestry, etc.) serving as a critical bridge between our sales team, our customers, and our software engineering team. You will work directly with the engineering team, customer delivery team, and our clients to understand the customer needs, formulate solutions, and help them achieve their goals. This position will report to the Director of Professional Services within the Customer Experience Center of Excellence (COE). This position will report to the Manager of Professional Services and Application Engineering In this role you will: * Actively interface between our customers and our software development teams to identify data needs and ensure all required data is ingested into our machine learning-based platform * Serve as a subject matter expert to support data analytics teams to perform advanced quantitative analysis of GHG emissions reductions and other project impacts * Create and manage customer delivery execution plans to ensure the deliverables are executed to the highest quality, on-time, and on-budget * Provide highly responsive customer service and maintain a high level of member satisfaction, proactively identifying and resolving issues before, during, and after implementation * Communicate effectively across a large matrix team to ensure sales, engineering, finance, leadership are suitably coordinated and informed * Build strong internal and external relationships with professionalism, courtesy, and positivity Experience: * The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in one of the following target industries to understand the mindset and needs of potential customers: * Energy Transition (Hydrogen/CCUS/Grid Modernization) * Voluntary Carbon Markets/Carbon Offset Projects * Carbon Accounting and associated Audit Services * Bachelor's degree in engineering (process/process safety, environmental engineering/environmental science, facilities/operations) or similar related field * Significant experience in CCUS, hydrogen, forestry, and/or other carbon reduction projects with the ability to thoroughly understand bottom-up and top-down process flows would be a strong advantage * Ability to efficiently research and synthesize information from a broad range of sources in a rapidly evolving environment to understand and adapt best-in-class approaches to carbon reduction, new project types, and methodologies for creation of carbon credits/offsets to deliver results to customers. * Outstanding organizational skills. Able to effectively manage multiple, complex projects at once in a fast-paced environment, and maintain positive, collaborative relationships to interface effectively with multiple internal and external parties * Proven ability to take initiative and produce results and a strong ability to collaborate with a diverse team of technical and business staff * Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Scheduling Tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SmartSheet, or similar) * Subject to safe travel conditions, must be willing to travel periodically to field locations ( Preferred Experience: * Project Management Certification (PMI or equivalent) is a plus * Any experience with end-to-end software application architecture or RESTful API integration would be viewed favorably but not required Why you'll like it here: * Context Labs is collaborative at its core.
