Food processing plant looking for a Food Safety and Document Quality Control specialist. As a FSQ Document Specialist you will oversee two key areas: Document Control and Compliance. Your main role involves implementing and maintaining documents, acting as the document expert. Job Type: Full-timePay: $20hrQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field. High school graduate with progressive experience specifically in this roleMinimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or related fields (required)Experience in document control and database maintenance (preferred)Document Controller Responsibilities:Document Management: Oversee the lifecycle of controlled documents in the electronic document management system (e.g., SOPs, Policies, Work Instructions, Forms), ensuring accuracy and compliance.Guidance and Training: Provide guidance to document owners/authors, collaborators, and approvers throughout the document lifecycle. Act as a subject matter expert and offer training on quality management systems, including document management and training.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine training assignments and ensure alignment with quality management systems.Metrics Analysis: Generate and analyze metrics for reporting to management and cross-functional areas, identifying areas for improvement.Procedure Revision: Revise Quality Systems procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and efficiency.Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives within Quality Systems, contributing to the enhancement of processes and procedures.Manage both physical and digital document filing systemsRegister and maintain technical documentsDevelop templates to streamline documentation processesCoordinate information flow between project teams and external partiesEnsure compliance with document control procedures and quality standardsOversee the document lifecycle from creation to archivalSkills:Proven experience in document control or similar rolesProficiency in MS Office and document management systemsStrong organizational and data organization skillsEffective communication skills for collaborationExperience in minute-taking and comprehensive documentationKnowledge of relevant document regulationsAbility to multitask and work well under pressureHighly organized and detail-orientedStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to work independentlyAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentBilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
