Responsibilities Prepare electrical engineering designs, including layout, design schematics, calculations and conceptual designs; utilizing standard methods and project principles. Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to design medium to large industrial projects. Formulate technical specifications and prepare interface points with construction partners. Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award. Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans. Perform ETP analysis and simulation, system modeling, protection coordination, reliability studies, load flow studies and grounding integrity Utilize SmartPlant for balance of plant electrical systems design. Mentor, train and guide junior engineers, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Kiewit guidelines, providing suggestions and recommendations as needed. Lead projects, and other Engineers,including both in-house inter-discipline engineers and construction partners to provide our Clients the industry’s best of both engineering and physical design. Support RFP, Pre-Feed, FEED, D/B and EPC projects for electrical designs across multiple markets Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university and EIT license is required At least 10years’ experience performing Electrical engineering design for Industrial facilities (which could include Chemical plants, Mining/Mineral Processing, Power, Water/Wastewater, Processing plants, Advanced manufacturing plants, data centers, EV Battery) Experience with ETAP (or similar tool) for simulation/analysis is required Experience with SmartPlant, or similar software for design PE preferred, or willingness to obtain Experience with FEED, D/B, EPC designs, familiar with 30/60/90% completion design progression Experience in field construction or startup and previous experience directing junior engineers is desirable #LI-JB1 Other Requirements: Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
