This role involves assisting the public, county personnel, and various departments with their mapping analysis, location, and land information needs. County paid life insurance policy - coverage equivalent to annual salary - Affordable Supplemental, Additional, and Spousal/Dependent life insurance available at employee's expenseCompetitive paid time off including vacation, sick time, personal days and holidaysPublic Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Employer Essential Duties Edit and maintain all data related to NextGeneration 9-1-1 system.Assists the public with map, land, parcel and survey information requests.Assists other County Departments requests such as addresses, Clerks office maps and Zoning committee maps.Maintains geospatial data such as addresses, road centerlines, zoning data, municipal boundaries, school district boundaries, voting and ward district boundaries and PLSS data.Scan and index survey documents and upload the images to the survey image website.Assists various Douglas County Municipalities with address sign projects.Prepares and updates ward boundary data and submits data to Legislative Technology Services Bureau.Prepares the Plat Book on a 2-3 year cycle.Performs other duties as required.*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geography or equivalent and/or GIS Certificate, Cartography, Spatial analysis, imaging, graphic arts, preferred as well as Microsoft office. Customer service and 2+ years experience preferred. Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects weighting five to ten pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
