Responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to: * Develop and implement plans to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity. * Establish goals for the operation. Use KPIs to communicate performance. * Ensures accountability by establishing clear responsibilities to monitor work and measuring results. * Confirms efficiency of the manufacturing processes. * Leads Supervisor meeting to communicate and monitor production activities. * Accountable for profitability of the operation and other P&L factors. * Provide leadership, develop, and coach Supervisors and team members to ensure that they understand and contribute to company objectives. * Builds successful teams by setting goals and objectives while nurturing team collaboration. * Facilitates change and innovative approaches in the workplace. * Coordinate the hiring and training of department employees, headcount planning and performance management. Provide timely and constructive feedback regarding performance. * Participate in scheduling and oversee production; ensure weekly staffing and production plan fulfill weekly customer shipment requirements. * Identifies root cause of problems and implements corrective actions. * Coordinate Preventive Maintenance activities with support functions collaboratively with Maintenance Management. * Work with Product Engineers to support new product R&D, testing and production pilot requirements * Identify and implement cost savings projects and efficiency improvement activities. * Budget planning and management. * Promotes a transparent and positive work environment. * Ensures a safe work environment by promoting safe practices and procedures. * Lead 5S efforts, stress good housekeeping and safe work practices. Maintain a smooth flow of communication. * Familiarity in Continuous Improvement practices by improving productivity, quality, reducing expenses, efficiency gains, reduction of inventory, and supports sales growth. * Optimizes work processes to drive improvements to the overall process flow from Receiving to Shipping. SKILLS: Candidates should possess the following skills/knowledge: * Excellent leadership skills - high integrity, results driven, interpersonal skills, ability to champion change and strong manufacturing competencies. * 5-7 years of experience in a heavy/light Assembly operation with experience in a management role. * Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools. Ability to problem solve and lead significant improvements in quality, productivity, cost and material initiatives. * Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization. * History of increasing responsibilities with proven track record of achieving good results. * Flexible schedule * Ability to effectively use MS Office suite and PC applications.
