Overview

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules | Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles | Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget | Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports | Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

Major Position Responsibilities

* Supervises accounting staff in daily operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue, and asset accounting.* Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records.* Ensures all analysis and reporting are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.* Establishes and implements productivity and quality standards.* Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.

Basic Qualifications

* Associtates Degree or Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience required.* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.* 3-5 years experience in relevant function.* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)* Strong People Management skills.
