American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Murrieta, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a CA RN license, advanced AWHONN, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Responsibilities Position is in the Women's Services unit with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am Unit includes 17 labor delivery recovery (LDR) beds and 14 postpartum (PP) beds, with 41 total beds Labor patient ratio is 2:1 and postpartum patient ratio is 4:1 Approximately 180 births per month on unit Must circulate and recover patients, with scrubbing experience desired Uses Fetal Link and Surginet systems for documentation Floating to postpartum unit required if willing Self-scheduling occurs in 6-week blocks Weekend coverage required for 5-6 shifts per 6-week schedule Responsibilities include performing and documenting patient assessments, developing and revising individualized care plans, and triaging multiple patient interventions Expect to educate patients and families according to age and learning needs Accountable for independent decision-making and delegation to the healthcare team Must be able to act as a preceptor and participate in improvement activities No on-call responsibilities Scrub attire required as dictated by unit policy Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and advanced AWHONN certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience required Experience with Cerner or facilities delivering more than 200 patients per month is preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639251.
