FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
The Inbound/Outbound/Import Transport Analyst is pivotal in analyzing, collecting data, and reporting on performance to drive improvements in operations. This role entails the precise collection and analysis of transportation data to highlight trends, pinpoint inefficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities. Tasked with generating comprehensive performance reports, the Analyst delivers actionable insights and recommendations that support both operational and strategic planning. By effectively communicating findings, the Inbound/Outbound/Import Transport Analyst is instrumental in enhancing transport efficiency, cutting costs, and boosting the performance of the department and service providers.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions):

Conduct detailed analysis of Inbound/Outbound

/

Import transportation data to uncover trends, pinpoint inefficiencies, and identify potential areas for operational enhancements.

Formulate strategies, supported by comprehensive reporting, to streamline routes, minimize transit durations, and reduce transportation costs.

Foster collaboration across logistics, supply chain, distribution centers, and other relevant departments to ensure cohesive operations and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Track and evaluate transportation performance metrics, offering insights and actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

Work closely with the inbound/outbound/Import transportation team to resolve logistical challenges, devising proactive strategies to mitigate future occurrences.

Compile and deliver detailed reports to senior management on service quality metrics, and efficiency improvements.

Assist with the maintenance of process enhancement plans and the consistent reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Provide support for transportation-related projects, from planning through to execution and implementation.

Perform other duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics transportation analysis, preferred.

Advanced computer literacy, with strong analytical abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory; experience with Power BI is highly desirable.

A strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations to pinpoint and execute efficiency improvements.

Demonstrated experience in collecting, processing, and analyzing large data sets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in transportation processes.

Expertise in conducting detailed analyses, including data collection and performance reporting, to drive operational and financial enhancements.

Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of operating independently in a dynamic environment and comfortable with ambiguity.

Exceptional organizational, time management, problem solving and communication skills, with a high attention to detail and strong follow-through capabilities.

Strong team player, e

xperience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
