Position Summary

A finish painter is responsible for applying paint to various surfaces, both interior and exterior, in residential and commercial buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet clients' specifications.
  • Fabricating, assembling, and installing custom millwork, including doors, windows, trim, and other architectural details.
  • Using various hand and power tools (such as saws, routers, and sanders) to cut, shape, and finish woodwork.
  • Applying finishes to millwork, such as stains, paints, and varnishes.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality through careful measurements and inspections.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged millwork.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Coordinating with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualificaitons
  • High School diploma desired but not required.
  • 5 years of experience as a painter, better if it is commercial.
