6 Degrees Group is currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate with a specialized focus on corporate income tax to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of corporate income tax compliance and reporting for the organization.

Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Perform detailed tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and ensure optimal corporate income tax positions for the organization. Prepare and review complex corporate income tax provisions and related disclosures for financial reporting purposes in accordance with ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109). Assist in corporate income tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities, including gathering necessary documentation and providing support during examinations. Stay up-to-date on changes in corporate income tax laws and regulations affecting the organization, and communicate implications to management. Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff, including reviewing their work and providing training as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment on corporate income tax-related matters and facilitate efficient processes.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local corporate income tax laws and regulations, including experience with complex tax issues. Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems (e.g., Onesource, Corptax, SAP).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to specific corporate tax situations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate corporate income tax concepts to non-tax professionals. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and a high level of integrity.
