Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending upon experienceSchedule: Part-Time Monday - Friday 5:00am - 10:30 am Full - Time Monday - Friday 5:00am 1:30pm Rise and Shine with us We are looking for an early morning Mobile Phlebotomist to start the day strong by visiting Nursing Home patients. If you are an early riser with a passion for patient care, and want to bring your skills to Nursing Homes, we want you on our teamTASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcherUnloads phlebotomy supplies and takes to patient's bedside to collect samples ordered by physicianAccurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s)Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patientsReloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt deliveryRegularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and locationStrict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposuresMaintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirementsREQUIRED SKILLS:Practices excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the population served, including the pediatric and geriatric communitiesTreats customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretion; acknowledging residents' rights and patients' right to refuseMust have a current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicableMust have a current, valid State Driver's license; car insurance; good driving record; possess a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirementsProficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniquesKnowledge of laboratory operationsMaintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contaminationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
