Description:The Quality Assurance engineer with focus on manual testing of the productDuties:Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementationIdentify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen(s) or contentPlan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules or potential problems.Submit defects with repeatable steps and analyzing defects to ascertain sources and nature of defects.Communicate with Quality Assurance (QA), Development, and Client business partner staff to ensure that testing/quality issues are documented, tested, and applied to established software product development timelines and deadlines.Provide stakeholders with timely status updates and applicable QA metrics throughout the SDLCIdentify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in both structured and open styles of testingRequired Skills:Minimum 3 years of professional experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience testing web based applicationsExperience with regression testing, smoke testing, data validation testing, test case creation, and JiraExperience operating in an Agile/Scrum environmentAn understanding of software QA Methodologies, tools and processesAn associate or bachelor's degreeEducation: Bachelors Degree
