Position Title: Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst -- Contract Location: North of Noblesville, IN Job Type: Contract Experience Level: 5+ years Accounting / Financial Analysis Salary: up to $55/hr Position Overview: Our client is currently seeking a Contract Senior FP&A Analyst to be responsible for providing strategic financial insights and supporting the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions. This role requires a high degree of analytical skill, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders across the organization. The Senior FP&A Analyst will collaborate closely with various departments to drive financial performance and support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with business units to gather data, understand assumptions, and ensure accurate financial projections. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives. Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and executive teams. Business Partnering: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Sales, Marketing) to provide financial guidance and support decision-making. Assist in evaluating business performance, identifying areas for cost optimization, and driving profitability improvements. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities. Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes. Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CFO / Controller. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in financial reporting and analysis. Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial planning and analysis. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles, with a strong background in financial modeling and analysis. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion). Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Leadership: Ability to lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and work independently with minimal supervision. Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
