Warehouse Truck Driver Drives gas powered yard truck or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, swing reach, clamps, elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, materials and transports load to designated area Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device Pulls orders Scans merchandise and locations using RF technology Puts away merchandise to appropriate locations verified by the RF scanner Operates equipment using The Children's Place and Cal OSHA safety standards Completes equipment checklist before and after each use in order to verify condition of machine Immediately reports any problems with the machines to the Maintenance Supervisor Moves trailers to their designated area Job Knowledge: Demonstrates proficiency in technical/functional skills to perform job functions effectively Makes safety a priority and adheres to all company safety guidelines and procedures Is knowledgeable in all of the details of the job, with a good understanding of related functions and/or departments Applies job knowledge to handle issues and resolve problems Understands how individual contribution impacts department's results Productivity and Quality of Work Productivity and Quality of Work: Works quickly and efficiently to ensure that the expected volume of work is produced and deadlines are met Is detail-oriented; completes work accurately and thoroughly Makes effective use of time; continually establishes and revises priorities as needed Is committed to and produces a quality work product or service Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Conveys information and ideas clearly Communicates necessary issues/concerns to his/her supervisor Communicates with tact and resolves conflict in a positive way Ensures a professional and courteous interaction with co-workers, supervisor, and internal/external customers Initiative and Dependability: Seeks to learn new skills and improve job knowledge and expertise Utilizes available resources to accomplish job responsibilities Can be relied upon to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision or direction Pursues work with energy, drive, and a need for completion Teamwork: Works toward team goals and shares in the workload of others when needed Values the input and expertise of other associates Participates in the training of other team members when needed Builds strong relationships; gains the trust and respect of other team members Professional Work Characteristics: Is punctual and works required schedule Is organized and maintains a neat work area Performs well under pressure and within time constraints Is flexible to the changing needs and demands of work
