**Position Title:** Clinical Director Ocean Drive
**Department:** Ocean Drive
**Reports To:** Senior Vice President, Signature Programming
**Effective Date:** 1/5/22
**Purpose:** Provide strong clinical leadership for the agency and oversees the coordination of care through the multidisciplinary team. clinical and family systems expertise to admissions staff/ RRDs and the national team and RVPs
**Degree of Supervision:** Bi-Weekly and as needed
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** :
- Oversees the work of clinical staff and ensures the provision of quality services and documentation by structuring/modifying clinical programming to meet client needs, assigning clients to staff according to strengths and weaknesses
- Reviews treatment plans and ensures that clients are receiving the care needed. Signs off on documentation as a Qualified Professional.
- Provides leadership for the interdisciplinary team in a manner that encourages open communication, appropriate assumption of responsibility for patient care, and a high degree of initiative in resolving patient issues
- Determines staffing needs, assists with hiring, orientations and training of clinical staff.
- Ensures that all clinical staff adhere to the Caron Renaissance Ocean Drive clinical philosophy in working with the clients and their families
- Responds to off hour issues/concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Provides clinical supervision in the multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as well as individual supervision sessions.
- Conducts individual and group therapy in accordance with license requirements, CARF standards and Caron Renaissance policies
- Sets high standards of care and models high levels of clinical concern and competence
- Makes recommendations to the Executive Director and Management Team regarding the direction and needs of clinical programs
- Takes a leadership role in identifying quality improvement opportunities and in implementing improvement programs.
- Maintains referent relationships and conducts regular quality control calls with referent base and follows up on any serviced related issues.
- Represents Ocean Drive at conferences and other external speaking engagements.
- Maintains appropriate boundaries and ethical behavior with clients, families, and professionals

Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with Title 42, CFR, Part 2, HIPPA and Caron Renaissance policies
- Follows and enforces all company policies and procedures including human resources, safety, clinical, administrative, etc.
- Completes all paperwork/documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Completes all required trainings on a timely basis
- Conducts quality performance evaluations on direct reports on a timely basis
- Conducts frequent reviews of patient charts and all documentation to ensure quality and compliance with organizational standards and requirements as outlined by licensing and accrediting bodies. Provides supervision and feedback for clinical staff related to documentation issues.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Licensed in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 3 years in a clinical setting within a drug and alcohol program.
- A minimum of 3 years clinical supervisory experience.
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in Social Work or related field.
- If in recovery, 2 years of continuous sobriety is preferred.
- Certifications in specialized areas such as Process addictions or trauma preferred
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
- Must be able to work extended hours
- Must be able and willing to travel as needed.
- Must be able to deliver presentations
- Must be available to be on-call after hours
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:**
- An extensive background in clinical programming.
- Must demonstrate strong communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and heads of the various departments.
- Ability to maintain relationships with referents
**COMPETENCE AND MEASUREMENT:**
- Be a role model of Carons values and mission by taking full accountability for ones decisions, supervisory practices, and personal values. Promote a Caron attitude and demonstrate inter and intra department team building.
- Select, adapt, implement, and evaluate appropriate problem solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Provide timely feedback to staff on client needs, attitude towards clients, clinical skills and overall performance.
- Assures highest quality staff through evaluations, staff development, licensing:
- Patient exit surveys
- Retrospectives
- Employee reviews
- Employee turnover
- Able to prepare reports and maintain monthly benchmarks through observation, chart reviews and clinical supervision of clinical supervisors.
