The ideal Sr. Control Engineer will bring years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for electric vehicles. Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop control algorithms and strategies for vehicle systems, including various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems.
  • Create and analyze mathematical models of vehicle dynamics, propulsion systems, and other relevant components to optimize control strategies.
  • Implement control algorithms in embedded software using industry-standard programming languages and tools.
  • Design and conduct test methods to validate systems against requirements and performance goals; document and provide feedback to engineering teams.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to define sensing requirements, and establish control system capabilities.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to develop efficient and cost-effective designs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience in vehicle control systems design and development. (e.g., experience with PLC controllers or ladder logic design is a plus.)
  • High level of proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or similar).
  • Strong programming skills with knowledge of languages such as C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and standards (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
  • Being able to work and collaborate with colleagues with diverse backgrounds and involving multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Being able to work legally in the United States.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with strong verbal / written English skills.

Salary Range

The salary for the Control Engineer position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, and expertise.
