SummaryInspect and document that welds have been produced and implemented as required by all contract documents. Perform work with an outstanding attention to detail; read and understand construction plans, accurately document and report collected information, and communicate effectively with clients. This is a regular full-time position in the Syracuse, NY area. Responsibilities and DutiesPerform internal and external inspections to determine if weldments and bolts meet the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or documentInterpret regulations, codes and industry standards to apply to daily tests and inspectionsCompile and submit inspection reports, dailyPerform other construction materials testing and inspection, when necessaryQualifications and SkillsMust possess Certified Welding Inspector Certification through the American Welding Society (AWS CWI)Knowledge of industry standards including AWS and ASTM requiredWorking knowledge of NDT methodologies, a plusPossess good interpersonal and communication skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseCompensation: $25 - 34/hourBenefits and PerksCME offers competitive wages and benefits such as: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Health Savings Account, Supplemental Insurance Products, and Paid Time Off (including Holiday, Vacation, Sick and Personal) for full time employees.
