About This Job
The Underwriter will analyze files for various loan programs, being flexible in changing workflow procedures as necessary and performing some general office responsibilities. Responsible for analyzing moderate to complex commercial loans and cash flow analysis, using up-to-date comprehensive knowledge and experience. Understanding of current investor and portfolio guidelines and compliance guidelines is a must.
Responsibilities
- Review all loan documentation submitted for initial underwriting decision, conditional approvals, and clear to close
- Evaluate business and personal financial statements, credit history, income, assets and current liabilities for ability to repay
- Conduct careful risk analysis and exercise good judgment to determine if loans conform to applicable portfolio and investor underwriting guidelines.
- Requires proficiency and in-depth knowledge of commercial spreading and cash flow analysis.
- Review and respond to quality control items related to Credit
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of underwriting experience, including in-depth knowledge of self-employed borrower review
- Bachelors Degree
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
- Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks' Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)
