You Will: be responsible for providing assistance to the Campus Store Supervisor with the operation of the store cashiering, customer service, sales, support activities, shipping, receiving and merchandising. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission, vision, and values, which include diversity, equity and inclusion. Responsibilities: Open and/or close Campus Store at assigned times and ensure all opening/closing duties are performed. Balance daily cash drawers, print daily reports, reconcile cash deposits and research any discrepancies daily. Ensure all reports and cash counts are complete and accurate. Perform cashier functions for campus store sales and returns using a computerized point-of-sales system. Provide customer service and sales support to students and store customers. Provide leadership to campus store staff and assist in the hiring, orientation, training, mentoring, scheduling and supervision of student employees. Train new staff and student workers on a computerized point-of-sales system. Process department charges for university employees. Ensure in-store and stock items are charged and documented correctly and questions regarding accounts are handled in a timely manner. Assist with orders, invoices, and payment for all purchases accurately and on time. Create, maintain, and process purchase orders in the POS system. Receive/Compile paperwork and enter pertinent information into the point-of-sale system regarding purchases, receiving, and shipping. Tag all merchandise, textbooks, food, and convenience items. Awesome if You Have: High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college level coursework preferred. Minimum 2 years retail or management experience including experience with a point of sales system. Ability to have exceptional customer service attitude at all times. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Some travel between locations required (own transportation). Regular lifting requirements on a daily basis 10-25 pounds and ability for occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
