Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager Infrastructure with a strong background in managing data center exits. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and coordinating large-scale infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on data center consolidation, migration, or decommissioning initiatives. This role requires excellent project management skills, deep technical knowledge of data center operations, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

1. Part of the clients multi-year Technology Stack Modernization program

2. Program Objectives:

a. Migrate applications from current environments to more robust environments with proper controls and address OS/DB technical debt, adherence to security controls and remediate critical vulnerabilities.

b. Disposition and retire / migrate applications, upgrade infrastructure & security, build a legacy zone to control technical debt, and optimize the tech stack. Setup capacity, processes and ability to sustain minimum baseline standards to manage tech-debt on a go-forward basis

c. Delivers risk remediation, builds capabilities and drives efficiencies

d. Leverage App Rationalization work to ensure that investments are optimized

e. Prioritize environments that have high risk, ability to drive savings, potentially avoid tech refresh in-place or part of commercial real estate scope

3. Demand from this role

a. Define TSM program structure

b. Understand the project updates from all TSM projects to provide an integrated output/outcome

c. Report against executive scorecard

i. Clients Exec Leadership should understand the story, risks, issues in a transparent manner

d. Onboard partners to TSM governance and integrate reporting

e. Develop multi-vendor reporting and cadence integrated to overall TSM

f. Program reporting : Milestones, risks, dependencies, issues

g. Develop the right material for the appropriate SteerCo : Clear definition of risks, asks of leadership

h. Ensure key stakeholder alignment

i. Define program communication to stakeholders

j. Thought leadership

i. Business case development

ii. Assist in vendor SOWs review and finalization

iii. Structure approval via clients governance processes

iv. Vendor onboarding

k. Program Tracking

i. Project progress

ii. Financials

iii. Resource utilization

iv. Migration Tracking reporting using KPIs

  • l. Drives overall TSM Governance
  • m. Develops Execution Communication
  • n. Drives Executive RAID
  • o. Drives Value Realization decisioning

Qualification and experience:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure project management, with a focus on data center consolidation, migration, or decommissioning.
  • Strong understanding of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other project management frameworks/methodologies.
  • Experience in risk management, compliance, and security best practices related to data center operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
