Basic Function: The 3rd Shift Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and day to day management of all 3rd shift operations, machine operators, and material handler personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and adjusts manning and work requirements as related to the on-time delivery report.
  • Ensures quality standards in the receiving, material handling and shipping of wire, cable, and other products.
  • Plans and coordinates with other department supervisors and management.
  • Aligns with the Warehouse Manager to ensure overall goals and productivity are achieved.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by ensuring appropriate ERP transactions and flow of material.
  • Maintains physical condition of work area by recommending new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by managing headcount; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed or as assigned by management.
  • Support WireMasters culture of quality.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
