The department supports ~30 of Ravagos Business Divisions and manages a transportation budget of ~$125M and ~150,000 shipments annually. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a designated region and handling all LTL, TL, Intermodal, and Bulk moves within that region. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for booking all shipments, helping to reschedule as needed, negotiating rates, and managing communications with external & internal partners. The Transportation Coordinator is a main point of contact for Ravago commercial teams and is responsible for answering any questions, handling escalations, and providing logistics solutions for our sales and customer service groups. The Transportation Coordinator will be expected to collaborate closely and remain engaged with the rest of the Transportation team.KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Act as a direct contact for Account Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Product Coordinators, and Management for any questions about shipmentsManage a designated region (based on shipment origin-point) and maintain responsibility of scheduling/coordinating all shipments moving within the regionActively monitor your designated shipments within our TMS and ensure shipments are being booked with as much lead time as possibleCommunicate and manage relationships with our carrier and warehouse partnersAbility to provide rotational afterhours coverage for 2-3 weeks of the yearAll other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree requiredMinimum 2-3 years of experience in transportation and/or warehousing preferredKnowledge of transportation modes and warehouse operationsMust possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and WordNOTICE TO APPLICANTS :Ravago Americas is an equal employment opportunity employer.
