Electrical Superintendent

Summary:Electrical Superintendent works together with project managers, architects, and engineers to complete building projects from start to end.
This may include ensuring the project is completed on time and cost-effectively.
This may also include ensuring various regulations are complied with.
The Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring all objectives and standards are met, and for finding solutions to problems as they arise.
You will ensure all equipment and materials are available on-site as needed.
Reports To: Branch Manager, Regional Directors
Works With: Field Leaders, Project Managers, Branch Managers, Regional Directors

Responsibilities:Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Review the work progress on daily basis.
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Negotiate terms of agreements, obtain permits and licenses.
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Meeting with engineers, architects, and contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.
Managing and motivating site foremen and teams.
Evaluate and develop field project team members, specifically possible field leaders.
Ensuring all equipment needed is available on site.
Ensuring budget costs relating to wages, contractors, materials, and equipment aren’t exceeded.
Approving purchase requests.
Ensuring the construction process starts and ends on time and ensuring daily and weekly deadlines are met.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and all other regulations.
Issuing SI's and VOs to project management.
Conducting ongoing quality inspections.
Coordinate with local Union office for manpower needs.
Ensure manpower forecast completion.
Utilizing best practices to increase work quality.
Attend weekly work group meetings, review and update the schedule with project manager, review RFI’s, change orders.

Experience Required:5-10+ years’ experience as a Superintendent overseeing electrical work in a Light / Heavy Industrial environment.
