Job Summary:

As a Civil Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process by accurately estimating the costs associated with civil engineering and construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, collaborating with various teams, and utilizing your expertise to provide detailed and competitive project estimates.

Responsibilities:

Project Analysis:

  • Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimation.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each project.
Cost Estimation:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
Bid Proposal Development:
  • Develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for civil construction projects.
  • Work closely with the bid team to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Budget Management:
  • Monitor and manage project budgets throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Provide input on value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to project estimation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
