Job Summary:

Banquet bartenders are to ensure that the guests at Blue Bell Country and Normandy Farm are attended to in a friendly and efficient manner. Your goal and key objectives are excellence in service, set up and breakdown of bars, and providing beverage service to our customers. This includes being attentive to guests' needs, while still following the guidelines of Blue Bell Country Club and Normandy Farm.

This is a part-time position that requires open availability to include weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and execution of all drinks pertaining to the banquet bar.
  • All bartenders must be in proper uniform before clocking in. If you choose to dress at work, it is expected that you report for duty, in uniform, at your scheduled time.
  • It is the bartender's responsibility to report to the party supervisor before each event for details of the function. Any questions regarding the event should always be directed to the party supervisor or manager on duty.
  • All bartenders should be familiar with the basic information of each event. This includes what type of bar to set up, any special liquor or wines needed for that function, who the event is for (company name, bride & groom names, etc.), and times of the event.
  • All guidelines and procedures for Blue Bell Country Club and Normandy Farm must be adhered to. The basic set-up of a bar, the break-down and clean-up, liquor pours, consumption & inventory paperwork and tip procedures are all included in this.
  • At the conclusion of each event, all bartenders are required to clean his/her station, as well as perform any duties delegated by the Maitre De or Banquet Manager. Cater to the guest's requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
  • Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
  • Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
  • Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Abide by all Laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Bartending experience of at least 2 years (Preferred)
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
  • Current RAMP certification is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance.
