Position: Lead DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll oversee and lead the activities of the junior DevOps team members. Your primary responsibility will be automating and managing the configuration of the business's servers to ensure stable environments for quality delivery. You'll serve as an evangelist for DevOps culture, driving a cultural shift in the software delivery process by promoting automation, communication, and collaboration to facilitate iterative improvement.

Responsibilities:

Develop software deployment strategies essential for successful software deployment. Identify and implement data storage methods like clustering to enhance team performance. Create technology infrastructure, automation tools, and maintain configuration management. Conduct training sessions for junior team members and other groups on building processes with code dependencies. Lead the architecture and technical aspects of the complete DevOps infrastructure. Design and implement lifecycle infrastructure solutions, collaborating with development and cross-functional teams. Develop and implement tool chains for CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC). Evaluate and implement new frameworks to improve team productivity. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, researching and implementing new techniques for software development projects. What Will Set You Apart:

Security experience, including VPN, SSL, and collaboration with security advisors. Familiarity with Git workflows and branching strategies (e.g., GitOps, Git Flow). Data management experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS RDS. Experience with reliability engineering, including monitoring, logging, and alerting. Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline with 10+ years of professional experience. 7+ years of experience with tools/technologies such as Bash, Python, Java, Golang, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes, Helm, Puppet, Chef, Ansible. Experience with dev tools like yarn, NPM, GitHub, JIRA. Proficiency in containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker. Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and be proactive in prioritizing tasks and communicating requirements and blockers.
