Restaurant Server

You like making people smile, have a welcoming nature and like a fast paced work environment. Serving is in your blood and seeing people eat a good meal makes you happy. As the Restaurant Server you will:

  • Be a Friendly Face - arriving at work on time to get the restaurant/lounge/cafe set up and ready to open, keeping the area clean and attractive throughout the meal period. As the outlet closes, all cleaning dutiesfloors, tables, buffet as well as sidework duties. - are also part of your role.
  • Be a Host as well as a Serverpouring water, upselling food beverage, making helpful suggestions, answering questions, remembering names or favorite choices, offering a friendly smileand maybe even a weather forecast or a local attraction suggestionis all part of the job.
  • Be a Food Professional understand the food and beverage you are serving so you know what you are speaking about; offer prompt, excellent service to create a wonderful dining experience for the guest; handle cash/credit accurately and timely.
  • Be a Safety Security Agentfollow your hotel's established safety and security policies procedures. Anticipate problems and call management as needed.

Requirements

Job Requirements

A high school education or equivalent preferred and at least one year of progressive experience in food beverage required as is a ServSafe or Tips certification. Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, as needed. Medium workExerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time without sitting or leaning. Must possess fluency in English and be able to work in stressful, high pressure situations, and must possess the ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
