We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet. What you get to do: As a Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will join our Delivery team, which is a fast paced, results-oriented, hands-on group focusing on delivering end-to-end business and technical solutions to Uplight’s clients and partners. The TPM is a project leader and truly cross-functional. You will be working closely with our client and partners to help ensure that each project scope is successfully delivered, in a timely manner - ensuring customers are able to actualize the full value of their solution. As a Technical Project Manager you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product, Account Management, and Support to deliver and advocate for our customers. Successful Technical Project Managers have a solid understanding of Project Management methodologies, particularly Agile and Waterfall methodologies applied to client facing software as a service implementations. As a TPM, you’ll be proficient in managing the project scope, tracking progress, identifying and managing risks, maintaining an accurate schedule, and effectively communicating with clients. and be able to escalate both internally and externally. This role requires someone who is extremely well organized and able to understand technical concepts then distill them into easy to digestible format for customers. Technical Project Managers must develop a good understanding of Uplight products and solutions in order to effectively delivery value for clients. This role will report to the Senior Director of Delivery, and will work primarily on North American Client accounts. What you bring to Uplight: 5 years of Project / Program Management with leadership experience including 3 or more years leading complex SaaS projects. Exceptional project management skills; experience delivering projects for electric utilities, Energy As a Service providers, or other energy projects is a strong plus. Proven track record of leading and implementing large scale projects with detailed reporting requirements. Strong electricity industry knowledge is expected; knowledge of demand response, stationary battery storage, electric vehicles and / or virtual power plants is a plus. Understanding of various IOT/asset communication protocols such as APIs, KAFKA message bus, and SCADA. Outstanding communication skills appropriate for C-suite audiences; ability to track and report on key project metrics, relationship to business objectives, and other success criteria in a clear and compelling manner.
